Hello Everyone,

I'd like to share with you what we have been studying with our P5 students in UNIT 5.

This unit we have been focusing on different illnesses, symptoms and advice.

For example, "I have itchy eyes, I think I have allergies.  - You should take some medicine."

The main grammar focus for this unit was making sentences using should. We use should when we are giving advice, especially when giving serious advice. Please try practicing giving advice about different topics using "What should I do?" "You should...".

I'd like to share with you what we have been studing with our P4 students in UNIT 5.

The vocabulary for these lessons has been a range of everyday clothes and items such as "key chain, house key, sneakers and gloves."

One of the biggest focuses of this unit has been recognizing between single and plural nouns. For example,

"I lost my house key. - I will help you find it."

"I lost my sneakers. - I will help you find them."

I recieved some questions about the difference between;

"Whose hat is this?" AND "Who does this hat belong to?"

The truth is, there isn't a difference. Both questions are used frequently by english speaking people, so please study and remember both!

I'd like to share with you what we have been studying with our P3 students recently.

In Unit 5 we have been focusing on food. We have been learning lots of vocabulary for foods to eat at Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner time.

We have also been practicing using a variety of verbs to talk about eating.

We used "Let's eat ...", "I want ..." and "We are having ...".

If you would like to practice at home, please expand on these sentences by adding foods that you like. What do you want for lunch today? What are you having for dinner today?

SUPPLEMENTAL LESSONS

I'd like to remind you that supplemental lessons start from March 19th to March 30th.

サプリメンタリーレッスンは3月19日から3月30日まで。

For these lessons we will be using different books from our regular lessons.

通常とは異なる教材を使用いたします。

Please make sure to bring along the correct books for these lessons.

正しい本をご持参くささいますようお願い申し上げます。

What book should I bring? 

P3 Students should bring their ORANGE Copychat book.

P4 Students should bring their BLUE Copychat book.

P5 Students should bring their GREEN Copychat book.

We will be completing Episodes 3 and 4. Pages 6-9.

 



 

What are supplemental lessons? 

For these lessons we try to challenge our students at the end of the year. Where usually we have a focus on making simple conversation, these lessons focus more on reading and listening to long passages. These lessons are particularly important for students who are about to go up a level in the Amity syllabus starting from April.

これらは実践的なレッスンです。通常のクラスは会話に重点を置いていますが、このクラスはリスニング、リーディング、理解にも重点を置いています。

Since these lessons are difficult, please make sure to watch the video lessons and familarise students with the content before class.
