Hello everyone! (๑'ᵕ'๑)⸝*

Can you believe it's already October?! 🎃🍂

The weather is finally starting to feel a little cooler, the days are getting shorter, and the sound of cicadas is slowly being replaced by the lovely sounds of autumn.

October is one of my favorite months because there are so many fun things to look forward to! Halloween, autumn leaves, delicious seasonal food, and cozy evenings are just around the corner. ♡

Speaking of autumn, here's a useful English expression you might hear quite often:

"I'm getting used to..."

We use "I'm getting used to..." when something is becoming familiar or easier for us.

For example:

⬩➤ I'm getting used to the cooler weather.🍂
⬩➤ I'm getting used to waking up earlier.☀️
⬩➤ I'm getting used to my new school.🏫
⬩➤ I'm getting used to speaking English in class!🗣️✨

You can also say:

"I'm used to..."

This means something is already familiar to you.

For example:

• I'm used to cold weather.
• I'm used to getting up early.
• I'm used to speaking English with my friends.

So, what's something you're getting used to this autumn?

Maybe the cooler weather? A new school year? A new routine?

詰まってしまった時に助け舟を出そうと先生がスタンバイしていましたが、みなさん上手にスムーズに読んでいてびっくりでした。
11/7(土)15:00,12/26(土)16:00にも発表会があります。ご予約枠が空いていましたら２回、３回と参加していただけますので、別の本も練習しておいてくださいね☆

毎日使う言葉を英語に変えてみるだけで、自然と英語に触れる時間が増えていきます。

シルバーウィーク、みなさんはどんな風に過ごしましたか？

「家族と一緒にOOへ出かけたよ！」
「久しぶりにおじいちゃんとおばあちゃんに会った！」など、子どもたちからも楽しい思い出がたくさん聞かれました♪

アミティーのレッスンでは、ただ「I went to ～.」と言うだけではなく、
"I went to ~ with my family because ~."
"I really enjoyed ~ because ~."
"It was my first time to ~."

など、理由や感想を加えて、自分の経験を少し詳しく伝える練習もしています☆

「英語でどう言えばいいんだろう？」と考えながら、一生懸命自分のことを伝える子どもたち。
少しずつ表現の幅が広がっていくのが嬉しいですね♪

これからも身近な出来事をテーマに、楽しく英語を話していきましょう❣
