End of Golden Week... already?!
Hi all!
And it's already the end of Golden week!
I know!
Time once again flew by fast! (╥﹏╥)
I'm excited to hear from the students about their vacation and what activities they did.
I'm also looking forward to share what I did, so ask me lots of questions!
Watch out, for I will ask you...
"What have you been doing during Golden week?"
Also yesterday, marked an incredibly important day for Britain!
It was the coronation of King Charles III.
The previous coronation happened in 1953 for the late Queen Elizabeth II!
For many people around the world, it will be their first time seeing a new ruler of Britain!

It's Cinco de Mayo! ... what's that?
Hi guys and *inhales* IT'S FRIDAY!!
Happy Friday, and also Happy Cinco de Mayo!
Now, you may be asking ... what the heck is that?
Well, Cinco de Mayo is Spanish for "Fifth of May," and it celebrates the day that Mexico defeated the French two centries ago!
Weirdly enough, it's more popualar in the U.S. than in Mexico, but because we share a border, it's not surprising that many of our holidays overlap.
The way we celebrate Cinco de Mayo is usually cooking and sharing large portions of Mexican food, and enjoying Margaritas (a fruity cocktail) with old and new friends.

Hi guys, I hope you're having a nice relaxing Thursday!
Today is a beautiful day to be outside and enjoy nature, because it's Greenery Day.
Its significance is to pay respect to nature's blessings.
Japan is so special, because anywhere in this country, (even in the CENTER of Tokyo!) you can find green around you.
Each season is vibrant in its unique characteristics.
This is something I'm not used to back home!
In Alabama, we have a very long summer, and a few weeks of Fall and Spring.
Because of this, I am very thankful to now live in a country that is so dedicated to environmental action and respect toward nature.
Thank you for everyone's hard work keeping Japan green and beautiful!

今日はこどもの日ですね。かぶとをお家に飾っていると教えてくれた生徒さんがいました。
立派なかぶと、家族の自慢ですね！
また、今年のゴールデンウィークは、お出かけをされると話していた生徒さんがとても多く、みんなのお話を聞くのを楽しみにしていますね！(Yurina先生より）
新年度スタートし1ヶ月が経ちました。新しいクラス、コースにも早くなれるよう5月スタートは遅くありません！

May Day and Bank Holiday!

Happy May Day!
May Day is a European celebration where we celebrate the beginning of summer.
Many European countries hold outdoor festivals where everyone would eat lots of food and dance to music around the May Tree/May Pole.
Traditionally, people would also gather wildflowers and green branches.
ALSO! Happy Bank Holiday!
In England, today is also everyone's favourite Bank Holiday!
Many people have no work and there is no school!
Instead people would go shopping and hang out with family and friends!
I'm glad that May bank holiday falls under the Golden week too! (¬‿¬)
