Here at Amity we offer many different seminars to help with various skills when it comes to English speaking.
One such skill is problem solving.
We offer a virtual seminar with our own program called "Amity Town" where students will have to work on various levels to solve problems and think carefully about their answers. They also practice reading and solving puzzles in English to achieve high scores.
It improves their logic and thinking skills while also being able to learn reading and writing in English.

What do "agree/disagree" mean?
In English you will hear people say "I agree" or "I disagree". It is a very concise way of immediately telling someone you think they are right or wrong.
Let's look to a conversation for context. Let's start with "agree".
A: "I really like this singer, she has been writing songs that really touch me."
B: "I agree, her music is very moving."
This was a short way of showing that person B thinks that person A's opinion is correct.
Let's look at disagree:
A: "I really don't like this strawberry ice cream."
B: "I disagree, i think it's very good.
A: You can eat mine then."
Person B was enjoying the ice cream and said that the opinion of person A was not shared by them. In a quick way, they just said: "I disagree."

In English you will hear the word "very" used often in conversation. But, what does it mean? How do you use it? Let's learn together!
"Very" is used to emphasize that something was felt strongly. for example:
"Getting ice cream today made me very happy!"
It comes before a word to add strength to it. It can be positive or negative depending on what word "very" comes before.
Another example:
"The deadlines at school are making me very stressed."
You will always use it to add emphasis.
