At Hitachi Amity we strive to care for our students with as much love as possible, and aim to be the NO. 1 children’s English conversation school in the area.



Over 600 students come to Amity Hitachi school. You can see them laughing and working hard in the lounge.		The people working at Hitachi school are all friendly and the workplace is very lively.

There is a spacious plaza near Hitachi station, where many people are seen relaxing all day long.

Hitachi has a beautiful ocean view and mountains in the west. You can do lots of activities, swimming, surfing and hiking!

The teachers enjoy an environment that we can discuss our classes and our student`s progress.

Children enjoy learning English in a fun environment with their parents there to enjoy watching their progress.

Students make a lot of friends through their time at Amity. They do fun activities and help each other in class.

Hello, my name is Layla Hakamiun from Charleston, South Carolina. I joined the Amity Hitachi team in March 2009. Everyday I enjoy teaching and meeting all of the students. Time seems to fly when I am at work because it does not feel like work. I get to play and teach at the same time! All of my co-workers are kind, helpful, and more than happy to answer all of my questions. This is my first trip to Japan and I am so excited to explore this wonderful country. I look forward to each and everyday because I am always seeing and learning new things!

Hello　my name is Johnny Hobbs.
I am from St.Petersburg,Florida. I have just started woriking here at Amity in February. I love how energetic my students are when learning English! The enthusiasim they show helps me to look forward to teaching everyday! My position in Hitachi is full of many wonderful surprises. Being a coastal city, the beach is just a bike ride away, and during the spring time the cherry blossom trees bloom, further adding to the beauty. THe staff here is very welcoming and are always there to answer any qusetions. We all look out for one another here, so working tohether as a team has been a joy. I love working for Amity and look forward to all the great experiences in the coming year.

Hi! I`m Andrew Maharajh! I grew up in Florida in the United States for a few years but I was born and raised on the sunny island of Trinidad in the Caribbean. Now I`m enjoying all the great sights and wonderful people in Japan. I really love seeing my students mature in front of my eyes, and I take great pleasure in their improvements. The staff at Hitachi is also quite amazing and is made up of really friendly, helpful people, so I really feel like I`m a part of the Amity family. Every day I wake up I can`t wait to start my job!
