I`ve been with Amity for almost 5 months and it has been one of the most amazing experienceｓ of my life!　The atmosphere of our school is fantastic　and the kids are wonderful. Hello! My name is James Van Domelen, and I have been teaching at Futako Tamagawa Amity for almost a year.

I am originally from Oregon, in the United States. I studied Spanish in high school, but decided I wanted to move to Japan after visiting this country a few years ago. I am enjoying learning Japanese, as well as trying all the different foods! When I'm not teaching, I love exploring the city and the country. I also love cooking, reading, and running.

I enjoy teaching the students at this school. It is an amazing feeling to watch them learn and enjoy English!
