Hello everyone!

I'd like to tell you about a 3rd year Junior High School student who is very good with communication.

In every lesson, she tells me a story about the current events in her life. Then we discuss those events in detail, asking and answering each other’s questions. After that, we start talking about similar topics to those current events to make our conversations interesting. We then use what we talked about to make stories with the topics we learn in each lesson.

This week, for example, we acted as characters in a play and used sentences such as:
“You shouldn’t go to the village. It could be dangerous.”
“I have to go to the village. I must buy supplies.”
“Where is the magician? He was supposed to be here.”
“Sorry, but the magician won’t be coming today. Haha!”

アミティーで受験対策をしてくれている中学3年生さん、
パソコンを使ったインタラクティブレッスン受験生応援コースを受講中です。

レッスンでは、パソコンの音声に続いて英文を音読、
その後知らなかった単語を辞書で調べて
読解問題を解いていきます。

はじめはネイティブの早い音声に続いて音読することが難しく、戸惑っておられましたが、
少しずつ慣れてくると速さに加えて、英語の発音も毎週だんだんときれいに発音できるようになりました。

自分で発音できる英語が増えれば、その分の英語を聞き取れるようにもなります。

「インタラクティブで前より英語に聞き慣れてきました！」

とご本人も変化を実感しておられるご様子です☺

One of our P9 students has been studying English at Fukui Amity for more than ten years now.
He has been going abroad to study English and to learn more about different countries.
According to him, learning English is really fun and he likes learning new vocabulary words in English.
It makes him feel good whenever he uses new English words and phrases and understands the context of the lesson.

2月から3月にかけて、中学校2年生の文法クラスでは3年生で習う【分詞】という範囲を先取り学習しています☀

例えば、

①Please look at the sleeping boy.

②Please look at the boy sleeping on the sofa.

のような文を見比べると、ほとんど同じ単語を使っているはずなのにingがついている単語の位置が異なります！
どんな時に①の形を使うんだろう？どんな時に②の形を使うんだろう？と考えながら問題を解いています♪

Hello everyone!

I'd like to tell you about a 1st year Junior High School student who started studying at Amity last year.

At the start of the school year, he was a bit shy but worked hard to learn English. In those early lessons, he learned how to introduce himself with sentences such as:
“Where are you from?”
“I’m from Toyama, Japan.”
“What grade are you in?”
“I’m in the seventh grade.”
Since that beginning, he has learned to speak more clearly and with good pronunciation.

Now he knows how to ask and answer many types of questions using who, what, where, when, why, how, and which. So, we often have conversations before and after class about our lives.

Hello everyone!

I would like to tell you about a higher elementary class.
There are five 6th grade students and one 4th grade student in that class.

This class does free conversation at the beginning of the lesson.
They ask each other what they did that week and ask follow-up questions.
When the 4th grade student struggles to come up with her own questions, her classmates give her examples to use.

In doing so, they get to talk to each other in English comfortably.

Here is an example of the lesson of higher elementary school (4th grade to 6th grade) students.

In Unit 5 of our lower elementary school student's class we learned how to ask if someone has lost something. Some of the vocabulary discussed in the unit are house key, name tag, lunch box, glasses, glasses, etc.
