The meaning: Be patient and good things will be the result.
Scenario: My mother told me to wait. I didn't want to, but she made me wait until another student went first. After I watched the student go through the course, I raised my hand to volunteer. I was lucky because I saw the difficult part of the course first, which gave me an edge to win. My mother said "see, good things come to those who wait". I guess she was right. I should be more patient.
