Ice cream is a popular treat enjoyed by many people all over the world. It is especially enjoyed during Summer where the temperature is usually highest.

Let's read about Ice Cream.

Ice cream is a frozen dessert typically made from milk or cream that has been flavoured with a sweetener, either sugar or an alternative, and a spice, such as cocoa or vanilla, or with fruit, such as strawberries or peaches. Food colouring is sometimes added in addition to stabilizers.

Italian ice cream is gelato. Frozen custard is a type of rich ice cream. Soft serve is softer and is often served at amusement parks and fast-food restaurants in America. Ice creams made from cow's milk alternatives, such as goat's or sheep's milk, or milk substitutes (e.g. soy, cashew, coconut, almond milk, or tofu), are available for those who are lactose intolerant, allergic to dairy protein, or vegan.

Summer



Summer is the warmest season of the year. It falls between spring and autumn. Summer begins on the summer solstice, which is the day with the most hours of sunlight each year. In the Northern Hemisphere this day is either June 21 or 22. In the Southern Hemisphere it is either December 22 or 23.

The long days of summer bring the most sunlight and is the perfect time of year for slowing down and taking a break from our usual schedules.

The seasonal warmth of summer does not happen everywhere. In the regions close to the Equator, temperatures stay warm throughout the year. In the areas by the poles the temperatures stay cold throughout the year. The seasonal changes are most noticeable in the regions between the Equator and the poles.

Summer is the time of the greatest plant growth. It is a season of growth, harvest and production. Flowers and fruits bring fragrance, beauty, and delicious sweetness. Watermelons and tomatoes are most popular during the summer. The warm weather and long days lend themselves to many festivals and celebrations throughout the summer.

Father’s Day is celebrated on the third Sunday in June every year. This year, Father’s Day is celebrated on June 18th.

Father's Day is observed on the third Sunday of June. It honors all fathers, grandfathers, great-grandfathers, and father figures for their contribution.

Father’s Day in America has a rich history dating back to the turn of the 20thcentury. But to really understand Father’s Day we must go back to the post-civil war reconstruction era of the 1860s and a day that celebrates the other half of the parenting duo, mothers.

The holiday compliments similar celebrations honoring family members, such as Mother's Day and, in the United States, Siblings Day, and Grandparents' Day.

Dads are heroes. On June 18 be sure to let your dad know how much he means to you.

Listening English music is a good way to practice and improve your English skills.

Try learning more English through music!

Music is everywhere. It can make you feel many different emotions and bring you happiness, energy or calm. It can inspire you and capture your imagination.



Music is incredibly powerful.

And it can also be a useful tool for learning English!

How to study English with music

1. Choose a song that's in English
It can be any song at all. You should choose a song that you like.

2. Listen to the song
It is okay even if you don't understand all of the lyrics.

3. Read the lyrics
Find the lyrics for the song online and listen to the song again while you read.

Make a note of new or interesting words and phrases. You don't have to look up every single word in the dictionary. Try to learn five to ten new words per song.

4. Notice pronunciation
You may notice some strange-looking words! Some words in songs are written as they are pronounced.

'Wanna', for example, is an informal spelling of 'want to'.

'gonna' and 'gimme' are informal spellings of 'going to' and 'give me'

As you listen, notice how phrases are pronounced. This really helps you understand people when they're talking fast.

5. Listen again and join in
As you listen, start to join in with the easier parts. Sing as quietly or as loudly as you want!

The chorus – the part of the song that is repeated several times – will probably be what you can sing along to first.

6. Sing along
Listen to the song a few more times, and each time join in with a little bit more.

By now the song is really in your head! You're really feeling the rhythm of the music and the lyrics.

Tomorrow, next week or whenever you feel like learning a new song, do the same thing again. But don't forget to come back to the old songs.


So, whatever type of music you're into, learning English with songs will help you improve your listening and speaking skills, vocabulary and pronunciation.

And, most importantly, it'll make learning English really enjoyable and fun. Happy listening!
