Teaching at Kamikitazawa Amity

My name is Jake, and I have been working for Amity for just over a year and a half and enjoy working here at Kamikitazawa. My manager and coworkers are all amazing people and I couldn't ask for a better team.

Kamikitazawa school is a wonderful school to work at. The students are bright, energetic and learn incredibly quickly.　The rate they improve and their positive attitudes make you take pride in your work, and in your students.　It has been so good working here I often find myself looking forward　to the weekend ending so I can come back to work!

The area around Kamikitazawa is calm and relaxing in the evenings, but it’s only a short train ride away from Shinjuku, one of the more exciting places to be in Tokyo. Other places, including a grocery store, video rental store and cafes, are within walking distance, making it very convenient when I you want to stay close to home.

Hello Ciji!

Hi, my name is Ciji. I have been working at Kamikitazawa Amity for almost two months now. I have enjoyed getting to know all my students and co-workers. I could not have asked for more helpful co-workers and I am pleased to be part of such a cooperative and understanding group.

It has been great living in Kamikitazawa. While I am still getting settled in to my new home, I am thankful for my calm surroundings and quiet neighborhood. I am also very excited to be living so close to Shimokitazawa and Shibuya, perhaps my favorite areas in Tokyo.

I look forward to getting to know my students even more and I will strive to do my best in educating the students of Kamikitazawa during the year ahead.
