My most funny and eventful lessons are always with my Baby classes!
Especially the ones on Tuesday and Fridays!
Students "K" and "K" are the most hilarious kids that I teach. Both on the Baby D level,
they never fail to make me chuckle. The new song for this unit is Head, Shoulders,
knees and toes and they both had the most interesting reactions!
Student "K" on Tuesday could not stop singing and dancing.
She did such a great job, touching the right body parts!
She was really excited and we sang the song 4 times!
Student "K" on Friday was even funnier, he sat down and
pointed to the correct places. When asked if he wanted to sing again or stand up,
he looked me and mom in the eye and said no! He is tired!
I look forward to seeing how both my "K" babies act in class this week!

One of my former students, has returned to Amity for a few seminars to prepare for her trip to Canada.
We covered some basic manners in yesterday's seminar and today we'll cover some useful phrases for directions.
I am so proud of her for taking the leap! Traveling for the first time to a
country where the language is still a bit foreign can be so difficult but definitely rewarding!
Today is her last seminar before she leaves on Saturday!
I hope she knows that we all believe in her and that she will make the most out of her month in Canada!
"C" has always been an exceptional student and I have all the faith in her!

This week has been a very exciting week for lesson plans, our teachers are beginning to prepare our Spring seminars and we have a treat for everyone this year!
Amity will be holding an Egg Hunt, in our seminars we will practice a very old tradition, painting eggs! then students will get the chance to take part in an egg hunt and search high and low for these pretty, decorated treats.
Easter is a lot of fun and many countries around the world view it as a symbol of new starts and life, If it sounds fun, why not join us and learn all about it!

小3のOちゃん。
英会話もインタラクティブレッスン(パソコン)も一生懸命通ってくれています。
今は英検5級に向けて読みの練習中…
フォニックスのドリルで学んだことをレッスンにも生かしています。
例えば、sh,u,brという三つの単語の塊と、くしの絵があります。
What's this?の質問に対し、It's a brush.と答えた後、自分で並べ替えて正しいスペルを見つけます。
Oちゃんはフォニックスをたくさん練習してきたので、これがすごく得意です！
みなさんもフォニックスを練習して、読める単語を増やしていきましょう！

Last week was a week of trial lessons for me and I am very happy that both students signed up!
One was a Junior Highschool student "M" and the other was a cute little lower P3 "A".
It was so interesting having both these experiences in the same week.
Both girls were so much fun to teach and each had their own charm.
This made me realize how much it takes to be a good tacher!
How you have to adjust and direct your attitude, patience and energy depending on the student.
You need to keep them motivated but most importantly...Make them smile!
Keeping them smiling and happy as well engaged is what makes a teacher I think.
I hope both girls keep smiling as they start their journey at Amity!

A few weeks ago I had the privelage to teach one of our adult students in his usual lesson.
`T` and I had an excellent conversation about hobbies, interests, and favourites. It was a lot of fun to tell him about the things I did in my home country and hear about the things that he likes to spend his time doing, and `T` seems to have enjoyed the conversation as well because at the end he invited me to come and see one of his hobbies, tea ceremony!
I always love hearing what the students do outside of their studies, and in just a week, I will get to experience something truly special and unique that I never would have otherwise.
Learning to speak another language can be daunting and difficult, but it can lead to so many new experiences and a chance to share the things that make our home special with others.

今日は英検二次試験対策レッスンのお話をいたします。
中1のHちゃん。
今回3級の一次試験に合格し、次は二次試験。
アミティーで今まで培ってきた英語力と、新しく出てきた単語を一生懸命つかって質問に答えてくれました。
二次試験の流れを確認したらあとはとにかく練習！！！
これぞれの質問の傾向を伝えたところ、とてもスムーズに答えることができていました。
25日に二次試験を受けるみなさん、自信をもって答えれば大丈夫です！頑張ってきてください！

Receiving gifts from students aslways leaves me a little surprised but it always brightens up my day!
On Tuesday my Adult student "M" surprised me with a really thoughtful and wonderful gift!
She and I share a lot of laughs during her interactive and conversation classes.
She is such an outstanding super mom and loves learning English!
I was so happy that I had a smile on my face all day!
It really is something special when your students think of you!
Her and I have become very close during this year and even share the same birthday month!
I am so grateful to her!

I got to meet a surprising little superstar this week.
On Tuesday I taught a trial lesson for a very young student, he was shy and very unsure when he arrived, but he liked looking at our picture books and playing with cars, so we played together for a while.
I was warned that he may not be ready to speak today, but as soon as we got into the classroom and he saw the activities, his sweet little smile lit up.
Mom looked so surprised when he was excitedly pointing and saying the words, he did a wonderful job!
Afterwards we did some coloring in and he was excited to tell me all the colors in English.
I love seeing how excited our students are to speak english, and I can`t wait to have this new little firecracker in my classes.

文章発話が得意で、'It's a ～.'を特に自信をもって発話してくれます。
そして、レッスン内でHow many～?に対して答える練習をしていた時のことです。
数を一緒に数えようとしたところ、こう言ってくれたのです。

これには一緒にいた保護者の方も、先生もびっくりです！
普段から一生懸命お話を聞いてくれているんだなと、うれしく思います。
