Think of these tribes as different countries, each tribe has their own culture and language and traditions.

Native American Culture part 2
Have you ever met Native Americans? They often have what most would consider unique names. I have met a woman named Little hawk and that was her one and only name.
Native Americans often name their children after nature or an animal with good characteristics. Though again, not every culture is the same.
In modern days, many Native names have been given incorrect translations though they may have Native origins people may be named with thoughts of a different meaning.
It is the end of November which is also Native American Heritage month. So lets end with some more knowledge!
Have you seen native Americans? Many wear their hair long and often in braids.
In many tribes long hair is seen to represent a strong cultural identity. It is seen to signify who they are as a person, family and community. It is the bond between them.
There is symbolism in the braid that says single strands of hair are weak, but when you pull all the hair together in a braid, the hair is strong.
For Native Americans who wear their hair long or in braids it is only cut when they experience significant loss, like death of a close family member, traumatic event, or significant life change but every tribe is not the same and tibes have different teaching about the values of hair.
