Do you like sweet potato? In America sweet potato is only really thought of around thanks giving when we make yams which are essentially, candied sweet potato's.
Tokyo has a sweet potato festival every year in Tokyo. Have you ever been? The festival, Shinagawa Yakiimo Terrace was invented to show people all the different types of sweet potato's, sweet, mild, purple, yellow and all.
Some of the things they offer at the festival are tempura sweet potatos, sweet potato crepes, purple sweet potato latte, fried honeyed sweet potato sticks, and the rare mitsuhime sweet potato only grown in Wakayama, Kushimo which they make a variety of ways, their most popular being a sweet potato koroke.

At McDonalds you can get their halloween fries! Which a fries with chocolate sauce or sweet potato and pumpkin sauce! I don't know how I feel about this one!
Starbucks, with its usual pumpkin spice latte will also have the peach and nectarine Frappuccino. I've never though of peach as a fall flavour but it sounds delicious!
Haagen dazs is my favourite ice cream brand and my favourite flavour is mint chocolate chip! I haven't found it yet in Japan but for autumn haagen daas will have flavours like sweet potato, maple custard cookie, and a special kurumi kuromitsu koshian flavour!
