These are the stories of the Greek gods that roamed the earth long ago.
Demeter is the goddess that makes flowers bloom and crops grown. Persephone, Demeter's daughter, was taken into the Underworld where she ate six pomegranate seeds. Because she ate the Pomegranate seeds, Persephone had to return to the Underworld every year for 6 months. When Persephone's leaves Demeter and goes to the underworld, Demeter lets the flowers and crops fall (The start of Autumn).
Only when Persephone returns (in the spring) does Demeter help crops and flowers bloom again.

October birthdays actually have two flowers! Their other flower is a Cosmo.
Their name comes from the Greek word Kosmos which mean order, harmonious arrangement because the petals of Cosmos flowers are very neatly ordered.
They also represent peace, tranquility, innocence, modesty and joy. Cosmos also come in a variety of colours and each of their colours have different meanings!

Octobers birth month flower are marigolds. Have you ever seen these flowers?
Marigolds were used as medicine to help with skin issues and inflammation before modern medicine took over. Marigolds represent stubbornness and Determination. They also symbolize warmth and creativity because of their bright colorful nature. So October birthdays are people that are usually passionate, hardworking people!
