🍬Sweet surprise from Students and Parents!!!🍬
Hello! Steven here!!!
Teaching at Amity is already a joy! Everyday I get to talk to students and teach them new English words and phrases. However some days it's made even sweeter! Some days students and parents bring in gifts for us! Sweets, cookies/biscuits, cakes and treats! It's such a fun way to experience some of the culture and try some new foods! I appreciate every gift... although at this rate. I might have to do some extra exercise to avoid putting on some pounds!

I remember the day I arrived in Japan! It was so hot! Now it's really starting to cool down. Starting to notice more students coming to class with thicker jackets, jumpers and scarves. You can really feel the season changing. Need to keep the classrooms nice and warm to keep the cold away!

One thing I really enjoy at Amity is talking with parents. Sometimes it's just a quick chat before or after class.
I get to hear how proud they are about the students!
Sometimes parents ask about my day, share some small stories or even talking about some interests. Other times they ask about my British culture. I love sharing my culture and allowing parents to learn more about me!

Definition: To talk. To have a conversation. (To wag/move your chin)
Example: "I was having a bit of a chinwag with the parents. We talked for 20 minutes!"
