Adjectives have different endings. Some adjectives end in -ful or -less.

The -ful ending means having a lot of something.

useful

The -less ending means without.

An adjective that ends in -less is the opposite of the same adjective that ends in -ful.

Can you think of more adjectives that end in -ful or -less?

💡when vs. where

Some people still get confused how to use when and where. When is used to tell or ask about the time, date, season, or any period of time. On the other hand, where is used to tell or ask about the place or location.

Examples:
A: I heard you went on a date yesterday. Where did you go?
B: At a shopping center.
A: That sounds fun! When did you part ways?
B: Around 9 pm.Want to improve your English understanding? Try one of our trial lessons!

🤓 Grammar Bits: Adjectives

An adjective is a describing word. It tells you more about a noun. An adjective usually appears before the noun it describes. Sometimes, though, the adjective appears after the noun, later in the sentence.

Example:
a smart kid
a beautiful photo
The Pacific Ocean is very deep.
She is weird today.

Can you identify the adjective on the following sentences?
1. There is an empty room upstairs.
2. It’s a hot summer.
3. You are so kind.
