🎶 Learning with Music
In the younger classes, we use a lot of music, and it’s always fun watching the students start moving as soon as a song begins. The older students get into it too, and some of them sing the songs with so much energy that it almost surprises me. Using rhythm in the lessons really helps keep everyone involved, no matter the age group.

❄️Winter layers everywhere! ❄️🧥
During the winter months, I saw students coming into class with so many layers of warm clothing. I still see winter coats and scarves now, but little by little the students are removing more layers as the weather gets warmer.
Every day, they take off their gloves, scarves, and coats and place them at the back of the classroom. With a larger lesson, the small piles of clothes can look like someone is hiding under them. It is always a funny sight and shows just how many layers everyone wears in winter.

What do you like to eat? 🍕🍣
Some of our junior classes involve talking about foods and cuisines and what our favorites are! Food is always a fun subject to talk about. We all have our different tastes! Some of use like salty, savory, and spicy. While others enjoy sweet, tangy, and tart. Some students have some really interest favorites. Personally, my favorite cuisine is either Japanese food or Italian food. My favorite Japanese food is sushi! I love sushi! My favorite Italian food is pizza!!!

Confidence boost 💯🌟
Seeing shy students slowly gain the confidence to speak English is one of the most rewarding parts of being a teacher. As they become not only more comfortable with English but also more comfortable around me. They start speaking more naturally and louder so I can hear them compared to their usual whispering!
