A new school year also means new classrooms and new faces for many students. Some move up a level while others stay, which can mean being in class with different classmates than before. At first, that change can feel a little strange or uncomfortable. I try to support students during this time and help create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and at ease. It’s always nice to see new friendships slowly form as students practice together, help each other, and grow more confident over time.

マンツーマンのプライベートレッスンのほか、定員6名のグループレッスンもご用意しております。
また、在校生のみなさんには英検対策プライベートレッスンを開講しております。

At this time of year, some students move up to a new level and quickly notice the jump in difficulty. The content is harder, expectations are higher, and it can feel like a big step forward. My goal during this time is to support them, slow things down when needed, and help them realize they are capable of more than they think. Even when the challenge feels intimidating, many students take it headon. Watching them face that difficulty with effort and persistence is always incredibly rewarding.
Spring always feels like a quiet transition rather than a sudden change. The heater slowly gets turned off, the air conditioner starts getting sideeyed, and I joke about bracing myself for the heat and humidity that summer usually brings. Around the same time, students trade in thick winter jackets for lighter layers, until they are just walking in wearing shirts. Those small shifts are an easy reminder that the season and the classroom mood are changing.
📊 Preparing for New Goals
A new school year means new goals for the students. Some will be moving up a year, some will be starting new materials, and there will be new faces in the classroom too. It’s always interesting to see what each student hopes to improve. Whether it’s speaking more, building vocabulary, or feeling more confident, everyone starts the year with something they want to work toward.

🎒🌸 A New School Year Begins 🌸🎒
One of the most memorable parts of the new school year is learning new names and getting used to new faces. Some students are completely new, while others are meeting me as their teacher for the first time. I try to create a relaxed atmosphere so everyone feels comfortable speaking and making mistakes. It always surprises me how quickly some quiet, shy students become more confident and excited during the lessons.
