Summer Break English Activities
What to do during our one week break?
From August 11 ~ 17, we will not be having classes here in Amity Hachioji.
This is the best time to relax and have fun outside with your family and friends.
You can also use this time to review past lessons and do your homework.
Here are some things to do to improve your English skills this Obon Holiday.
1. Read a story book!
You can start practicing all we studied about phonics and vocabulary by reading easy story books.
Reading and understanding a book can help you check if your English skills improved.
Read storybooks like, Where is my Mother? or Anna's Rocket.
2. Doing your Phonics and Drill books homework.
For most of my students, I gave them 10 pages for homework this Obon break. You can answer them slowly throughout your holiday.
You can answer 2 pages each day. This can help you remember English and also be productive.
Use this time to answer homework that you forgot doing in previous lessons as well.
3. Watch English shows!
You might think that watching English TV shows or movies can be boring and scary. But you will be surprised in how much you can understand.
It is the best way to practice your knowledge in English and expressions. You can even tell us about the story when we see each other next week!
Most of all, enjoy and rest! It's always OK to take a break from time to time.
You can also choose to NOT do anything... That's also OKAY. :)
Have Fun Everyone!
