It was also her first birthday in Japan, so let's ask lots of questions about how she celebrated! ✨

火山を見て小学校高学年の皆さんが「チョコレートケーキ」と言うかもしれません
高学年会話クラスのトップ画はHawaii volcano National Parkでしたが、一部クラスでは「チョコレートケーキ」として定着してしまいました。
何故か！？
それはずばり、英語力が高いからです。
C先生が担当するクラスでは以下の内容を英語で説明しました。

溶岩をlavaと言います。
そして溶け出すトロトロとした様子をチョコレートに見立てたお菓子があります。
それをchocolate lava cakeと呼ぶのです。

と。
そして全員がその絵を想像し、食べ盛りの小学生たちは溶岩の流れ出る火口の写真をみてはよだれが流れ出るようになってしまったのです！！
なんと理解力の高いことか。そして英語力と想像力もすさまじい！！
もしもお子様が火山をみてチョコレートケーキと言い出したら、ほめてあげてください！
Our younger students have been learning the difference between “can” and “can’t”. 👦🏻📓✍🏻💡
In this context, they are learning how to use these words to talk about their abilities in the present. 🤹
“Can” means your ability to do something. For example, “I can dance”. 💃🏻✅ 🕺🏽
“Can’t” is the inability do something. For example, “I can’t swim”. ❌🏊♀️❌
Try to make your own list of things that you can do and those you can’t. 📝
とある幼児クラスの生徒さんのお母さんからとてもうれしいニュースを聞きました💕
その生徒さんは英語がとても好きと言ってくれているようでコンビニにショッピングに行ったときもstrawberry🍓などのヨーグルトのフレーバーやmilk🥛など知っている英語をお母さんに教えてくれるそうです！
みなさんもお母さんお父さんの英語の先生になって英語を教えてあげてください！

The word of the day is “here”. 📍 It’s an adverb.
We use “here” when referring to the location of a place, person or thing. 🙋🏻♀️👇📌
It can also be used to give something to someone. 📦🤲
A great example that some of our students hear often is when the teachers are giving students something. 💫They say, “Here you are.”
Can you come up with your own sentences or scenarios where you could use the word “here”? 💡🤔
I don't want to go to cram school!!!
先週の小学校低学年クラスでは I don't want to ～. 「～したくない」と言う練習をしました！
Do you want to go to cram school? （あなたは塾に行きたいですか？）ときくと、
みなさんNooooooooooo!!!!と必死に答えてくれました😂
もしお母さんお父さんに塾にいこうと言われたらこう答えましょう！
I don't want to go to cram school!!
もしかしたら考えてくれるかもしれませんよ✨
それでもお母さんお父さんに Let's go!と言われたらあきらめていってください！
