I hope you are having the best day! Christmas Day is a wonderful time to be with the people you love and to celebrate togetherness.
Many people in America celebrate by having a big dinner together on Christmas Eve, then on Christmas morning, after Santa Claus has delivered all the presents, children open their gifts.
There are so many ways to celebrate and everyone has their own traditions. Do you celebrate Christmas? What are your holiday traditions?

Do you know St. Nicholas?
At this time of the year you might be hearing a lot of Christmas songs in English that are a bit difficult to understand. This is because many of these songs are very old and they include vocabulary or expressions that are not used today.
One song that I really like is called "Jolly old St. Nicholas" and although this name might not be familiar to you it is just another name for Santa Claus. Take a look at the lyrics below:

Dreaming of a white Christmas
It's so cold! But no snow yet. Do you like snow? Even though it's cold I love snow. I like to go skiing, have snowball fights, and build snowmen. I love how beautiful the city looks when it's covered in snow. Are you hoping for a white Christmas? What do you like to do in the snow?

What do you want for Christmas?
It's almost Christmas time everyone!
Santa Claus is on his way and if you have been a good good boy or girl and studied hard, he has a gist for you on Christmas day.
I would love a pet! I love cats and dogs, but I can't have them at home. So i would like Santa to bring me a hedgehog, or a hamster, or a lizard. They're very cute and small.
