今週の金曜日から参観日がスタートします！
生徒たちみんなに「お母さんも一緒にレッスン受けるよ！」とお伝えすると「ドキドキする！」だったり「かっこいいところ見せたい！」だったり「お母さんと一緒に対決したい！」など楽しみにしている姿・緊張する姿が見られました♪
コロナが始まってから３年ぶりの参観日、普段とは違う様子かもしれませんが、ぜひお母様方も一緒にレッスンを楽しんでくださいね♪（H）
Summer is just around the corner and there are so many things to be excited about! One thing to look forward to are Summer Festivals in Japan. We recently celebrated some festivals in Hiroshima City. They were pretty exciting! I would love to see a big Fireworks display this year. I think Fireworks festivals are so fun to watch. How about you? What kind of festival do you want to see this Summer?

The written portion of the EIKEN exam took place on Sunday. The next part of the exam is the interview. If you are looking to practice for the interview, please consider signing up for practice lessons here at Amity. Many students get nervous during the interview, so come prepare for it in advance. Starting last Saturday, 6/3 to Thursday 6/8, there will be no group lessons at Amity. We take this time to offer lessons to students who need extra help in learning English. A lot of our students come for private lessons for Eiken preparation, reading practice, phonics, or just speaking English while doing some fun activities and crafts. It is a great time to learn individually! If you are interested to do private lesson, please call or email us so we can schedule one for you. See you!

It has been raining a lot recently. How do you stay dry when it rains? I usually use an umbrella, but sometimes I use a waterproof jacket. It`s very useful, because carrying an umbrella can be inconvenient sometimes. I don`t have one, but sometimes I wish I had a poncho. What about you?

At Amity, we encourage our younger kids to start learning Phonics as early as possible. Students at Amity learn Phonics as early as 3 years old. As a teacher, I highly encourage this because the earlier you learn basic phonics, the easier it will be for you to learn to read later on! Being able to read can help you a lot to improve your English skills in general. At home, make sure to spend some extra time to work your Phonics. Using Phonics 1 from the Amity Book Fair is a good way to start!
