Last weekend I watched one of my favorite holiday movies--The Polar Express. It is about finding the spirit of Christmas, or the meaning of Christmas. This is also one of my mothers favorite movies, she also really likes old movies, like It`s a Wonderful Life.

It is finally December! This year went by really fast--it is only a few weeks until 2024. Usually on or around December 1st my family decorates for Christmas. We put up lights on our house, and put up a Christmas tree inside. It is one of my favorite holiay traditions.

This week in class with my P5 students, we learned about some interesting animals.
I have seen a flamingo and a stingray, but I have never seen an aardvark.

They look very strange with very long noses!
I had a lot of fun guessing what animals people have seen!

小学校一年生の女の子が保護者の方がいて緊張する中、しっかり発話している様子を見せられました。
保護者の方に褒められるととても嬉しそうな笑顔を見せてくれました。

My favorite movies to watch this time of year are the Harry Potter movies. I like to drink some hot tea and watch them when the weather is cold. It is like a fall or winter tradition of mine.

Thanksgivng is next week! In America, we get with our family and have a Thanksgiving feast--we eat turkey, mashed potatoes and lots of pie. We also talk about things we are thankful for.
