Happy Friday Everyone!
And Happy last day of the month!

Today we will learn about one of my favorite parts of speech in the English Language, Satire!
It is very simple to understand and explain.
Satire is when we use humor, irony or exaggeration to question peoples ideas or opinions on certain issues.
It is by far the most fun way to have people question why they think a certain way or why they are so focused on what is ideally wrong.

Examples:
1. " No thanks, Eternity seems romantic but I can probably only put up with you for two or three lifetimes"
2. "Lets go to the beach".. Yeah, lets go bake in the dirt with a bunch of sweaty strangers.

Its another Friday!!
Hello and good weekend to you all!

Today`s part of speech a simile is very similar :) to last weeks metaphor .
Although they are both used to compare objects or things, they vary in how their sentences are structured.
A simile is a comparison using the words "like" or "as". Anytime you compare 2 things using "like" or "as" you are using similes to do so.

Here are examples of Similes:
1. You are white as snow
2. Swim like a fish
3. As hot as the sun

I am sure we use them far more than we think. Take note of it and spread the word ;)

Lets switch up our grammar today and learn about Metaphors.
How you can use and identify them.

Definition: a figure of speech in which a word or phrase is applied to an object or action to which it is not literally applicable.

An easier definition would be, to give similarities or comparison between two things.

For example:
1. You are my sunshine
2. Her eyes were fireflies.

Sounds like we speaking Shakespearian does it not? :)
