「先生が明るく、元気で楽しいです。」
「話せる英語がふえたし、いろんなゲームができて楽しい。むかしよりいろんなことばをおぼえれたのでいかしていきたい」

高学年クラスは話す文も難しくなりますが、アクティビティを通して体験的に学べるので楽しいと感じてくれています。

For our 4th to 6th grade elementary school students, this week, we learned about how to express feeling unwell.
Some of the vocabulary included: a cold, a stomachache, allergies, etc.

If someone asks, "What's wrong?" you can respond by telling them "I have a cold."

Also, when someone asks, "Do you have a headache?" you can respond with "Yes, I feel horrible." or "No, I feel fine."

Challenge: How about you? Do you have a fever?

邦人教師の小学1～3年生クラスでは、今週、want to ～　「～したい」という表現を使って
自分のしたいことを言ったり、相手に何がしたいか聞いたりする練習をしています。

富山校の小学2年生のある生徒さんは、
昨年4月にレッスンが始まってすぐの頃は、
Game!「ゲーム（がしたい！）」 と単語で話していたところを、

Play game!

Play video games!

I want to play video games!

と、1年間で少しづつ、連語や文章で言えるようになってきました。

レッスン開始当初から、自分の言いたいことを失敗を恐れずどんどん話そう！伝えよう！とされる姿が印象的で、
英語の成果にも表れています♪

まずは単語でも大丈夫！単語がわからなくても大丈夫！
先生やクラスのお友達と一緒に少しずつ英語で言える表現を増やしていきましょう！

In Unit 10 of our 2nd year junior high school student's class we talk about the rules and regulations in school. Some of the vocabulary discussed in the unit are getting a perm, using a smartphone, wearing jewelry, eating snacks in class, growing your hair out, etc.

Challenge: Try answering this question!

"Is getting a perm allowed at your school?"
"Yes, it is ________. / _____ way! I would get in trouble!"

"Let's eat cereal for breakfast."
"OK, that sounds good."

This week's lesson for P3 students focuses on making choices and suggestions on what to eat for breakfast.
It also teaches them the right way to respond. Cereals, eggs, pancakes and breakfast are some of the vocabulary words that our students learn from the lesson.
It is definitely one of the engaging lessons to teach to our students this week.

Good afternoon!

Let me tell you about a 5th grade student who is taking private lessons at Amity.

She's has been studying at Amity since she was a 2 years old.
She lived in America as a baby, then, when her family returned to Japan, they brought her here to study English.

We often have discussions about Disney shows and movies in English, talking about those stories and characters.
At Amity, she has improved her use of grammar when speaking and writing, so she is able to communicate her thoughts clearly.
Recently, with her high level of English she has passed the Eiken Pre 2nd grade test and is getting ready for the 2nd grade test.

She is fun to talk with.

Hello everyone!

Junior high school students in Amity take Private lessons and group lessons.
I want to tell you about one of my students in a group lesson!

He started studying in Amity when he was in the second grade of elementary school. He has been in a group lesson since then.
I taught him for the first time. I was surprised how fast he could memorize words and speak short to long sentences.

Last year, he passed the 3rd Grade EIKEN test and the Pre-2nd EIKEN test! He also took the TOEIC Bridge test. His scores were great!
He shows great motivation to study English more!

I am looking forward to seeing more improvements in him!
