To celebrate this time of year, our students have been having fun making art and learning about New Year's celebrations around the world.
We learned about New Year's firework shows alongside practicing for Eiken this upcoming year. Keep up the excellent work expressing your creativity in English!

英語は早いうちに！
英語は早めに始めることが良いと言われています。
それはなぜ？？？
英語の周波数が日本語に比べ多いからです！
5歳まで日本語の周波数に慣れて育ってしまうと耳はそれ以上の音が聞き取れなくなってしまいます。
何歳までに始めればいいのか、個人差があるので一概には言えません。
ただし0歳から始めれば間違いないですね。赤ちゃんはみんなリスニングの天才です！

In Japan, New Year`s Eve is mostly celebrated with families and it`s usually calm and quiet. People take this time for a quiet reflection and preparing for a fresh start to the new year.
However, in other countries, people celebrate it not only with families but also with friends. New Year`s Eve tend to be festive, loud, and and lively. People go to social gatherings or parties, countdown events, and watch fireworks displays.

I ate osechi and ozoni with my family.
I went to the shrine and prayed for good health.
I spent time at my grandparents` house.
