Yesterday, in our P2 Course, our students learned to macth the colors and vegetables/fruits in English.

We practiced saying sentences like "Grapes are purple", or "Mushrooms are brown".

I am happy to hear that my young students are slowly learning to say short sentences in English.

小学生高学年のクラスの参観日では、持ち物を持っているか尋ねる練習をしました。
Hくんはお母さんにお父さんのことについて"Does he have a sunglass in his bag?"と聞くことができていました！
お母さんも"Yes, he does."と答えてくれました！
長い文章でしたが、上手に聞くことができていました。素晴らしいですね👏

Good morning! Today is the first day of December!⛄
Today is also the start of our Winter Seminars!
We have a lot of fun activities prepared for all age levels at Amity.
Younger students can write a letter to Santa, make pop-up books, learn popular Christmas songs, and more!
For older students, there is writing practice, exam preparation, and even debate!
We hope you can join one of our winter seminars to learn English in even more exciting ways.

先日小学校低学年の参観日がありました！

レッスンでは"Where is 〇〇?" "I don't know. I'm sorry."の練習をしました。
地図を見ながら、お母さんに大きな声で"Where is the zoo?"と聞くことができていました(^^)/

みなさん最初は緊張されていましたが、お母さんと一緒にレッスンができてとても楽しそうでした。
引き続き先生と楽しくレッスンをしていきましょう！

先日幼児クラスの参観日がありました！
幼児クラスのRくんはお母さんと一緒にアクテビティを楽しんでくれていました♪
画面にあるバッグの中身を一緒に確認し、お母さんに"Where is the lunchbox?"と聞かれると、"Pink bag!"と大きな声で言ってくれました。
そのあとも"It's in the pink bag."ときれいにリピートすることができていました！
お母さんと一緒にレッスンができてとても嬉しそうなRくんでした。来週のレッスンからも先生と頑張りましょう！

As our Parents Observation continues, we continue to see the different sides of the students. The younger kids got really excited last week when their parents joined! They were very happy to see their parents in class. They were more active than usual because they wanted to show what they can do.

The older kids, (Elementary-Junior and Senior High), were a little more tense and nervous. In one of my Junior classes, one student was very shy when her Mom was watching from the outside.

Some kids acted differently from their usual behavior, but they all deserve a praise for doing their best!

Today we will start our Parent Observation lessons for the older students!
Along with their parents, our P4 students will be learning about different holidays and their dates.
They will study a useful conversation pattern to ask about the date of festivities.
Q: "When is Christmas?" 🎄🎅
A: "Christmas is December 25th."
You can use this pattern to ask about any other holiday or special event!
For example, "when is your birthday?" 🎂
We hope parents and children are able to have fun in the classroom together!

小学校低学年では、"I can~." "I cannot ~."の練習をしています。
みなさんのできること・できないことを聞いてみるとたくさん発表してくれました！

・I can swim.
・I can play the piano.
・I cannot drink milk.
・I cannot ride a bicycle.
・My mother cannot drive a car well.
・My sister cannot eat eggs.

参観日でも自分のできること・できないことが発表できるよう頑張りましょう(^^)

We had some parents join our P2 and P3 course classes today. It was so fun to see the kids having fun with their parents.

Some of our parents even joined the class activities! The parents team didn't win against the students team, sadly, but they still enjoyed the games.

We look forward to seeing more parents at Amity this week and next!
