Idiom of the day: "Bite the Bullet"

Meaning: This idiom means that you are required to do something painful or difficult but you need to accept it bravely or there is a need to get over it.


Examples:

1. My friend doesn`t like going to the dentist but he decided to bite the bullet because he was having severe toothache.
2. I had to bite the bullet and sell my mothers old necklace because I really needed money.
3. I don`t really like public speaking, but I had to bite the bullet because I had to get good grades.

Today, I would like to introduce a seminar that we are
offering. It`s called "A letter to Santa".

In this seminar the students will get a chance a write a letter to Santa
and actually get a reply from Santa this Christmas.
How exciting is that? This seminar has started already since we need to
send a letter to Canada as early as November to get response on Christmas
day.

The students will not just learn Christmas vocabulary but will also get a chance
to experience an unforgettable Christmas.
