お兄ちゃんのレッスンが終わるのを待っている1才のMちゃん、先に終わった年少クラスのRくんに、最近言えるようになった"Hello!"とあいさつをしに行きました！RくんはMちゃんに目線を合わせるためにかがんでから、にこにこと "Hello!"と返事をしていました。英語だけで会話をして嬉しそうな２人の姿に、お母さんたちもとっても嬉しそうでした♪次は "See you!"が言えるようになるかなと楽しみです。

One of my private lesson students is very creative and likes to make stories. She has a vivid imagination and thinks of fantastic ideas. Recently, we were learning about how scientists are developing chocolate without using cacao beans, and she had an idea about making her own chocolate. She created a poster about a chocolate that was filled with different fruit flavored gels. As you eat the chocolate, the taste changes. I was amazed at her intentive idea, and how well she was able to explain it to me.

My 4 year old students have been learning about liking different things. We are learning "What color do you like?", "What fruit do you like?" and "What vegetable do you like?". They have been learning some difficult vocabulary, such as 'light blue' and 'eggplant'. I am really impressed by how easily they seem to remember the words. I love how excited they get when they find out some of their friends like the same things as they do!

On Thursday I was asking my students "what fruit do you like?"
One student said he liked peaches, another said she liked strawberries. I like pears best!

Recently kindergarten students have been learning how to ask for things politely.
In class they learned to say "may I get some snacks?"
They than asked me "may I have a sticker?" so we played with stickers!
I was so impressed!

Tomorrow is the start of Advent. Advent is the 4 weeks leading up to Christmas day.
In England and America, children get given Advent calendars with chocolate inside.
When I was a child I was excited to eat chocolate every day!

年中さんのNくんはインタラクティブで、色々なアルファベットから始まる動物を探すアクティビティーをしました。「ちょっと難しくて楽しい！」と言いながら夢中になって取り組んでいました。Zの文字が出た時、すぐに "Zebra!"と思いついた後少し考えて「しまうまか」と言い、日本語より英語で先に考えられたことに驚きました。また沢山動物を見つけにいこうね♪

Today is Halloween!
The origins of Halloween date back to many ancient festivals held in Autumn.
On Halloween, people dress up in costumes, go trick-or-treating, and carve jack-o’-lanterns from pumpkins. Children wear costumes and go to houses saying “Trick-or-treat!” and they usually get candy. Ghosts and witches are popular costumes for children to wear.
