This week my High School students have been talking about ordering food. They always amaze me with their great English skills. What do you like to order at restaurants?

小学校1年生のKくんとYちゃんのクラスでは、レッスンのはじめの "How are you?" に対し、"I'm hungry." と答えて、"What do you want to eat?" と食べたいものを聞くのがブームです。最近ではクイズ形式になり、知っている英語を駆使して頑張って英語でヒントを出しながらお互いの食べたいものを推測し合っています。先日はちょうどレッスンの構文がwant to を使ったものだったので、すらすらと文章が言えていましたね。今日は何を食べたい気分なのか、いつも楽しみにしています！

2023年度第3回の英検で一次試験を突破し、二次試験を受けた生徒たちから続々と吉報が届きました。小学校6年生で3級を受験したKちゃんは、初めての面接試験でとても緊張していましたが、無事合格しました！英語にさらなる自信がついて、会話のレッスンでもどんどん自発的に英語でお話してくれて、とても嬉しいです。これからも英語頑張ろうね！

Do you like to jump rope?
My kindergarten class has been learning about different movements. They have alot of fun skipping, running, swimming, and crawling in class. But when I asked them which activity they liked the best, almost everyone said "I like to jump rope!" I love watching them have fun while learning English.

I have 2 students in one of my baby classes. They are both about 2 years old, but they are really mature and independent. Even though mom is allowed to come into the class with them, during the last lesson they both did the class without mom. They did not fuss or cry at all. They were focused on the lesson, enjoyed playing the games, colored in some pictures and learnt about animals using stickers. I was amazed at how well they were able to understand my instructions. I was even more amazed at their ability to do the class without mom. I felt really proud of my student.

小学校2年生のAくんとTくんは、先日アルファベットを書くのに苦戦していたお友達を、丁寧に優しく助けてあげていました！隣で、決して答えを言わずにアルファベットの歌を歌って続きを促したり、書けたアルファベットを見て「惜しい！」と悔しがったり、正しいものがわかると「できた！」ととても嬉しそうに褒めたり。2人ともいいお兄ちゃんで、いい先生ですね♪
