Fun Facts about different schools around the world (past and present)
1. Sweden: Sweden has forest schools called "Skogsmulle" where they teach children from age 6 upwards about survival in the wilderness.
2. Bangladesh: During the monsoon season, Bangladesh school experience floods. Therefore, to keep students still learning through the floods they have 'Boat Schools'. They are solar-powered with all the necessities to teach the children.
3.Biggest versus Smallest school:
-Biggest: City Montessori School (CMS) in Lucknow India. With a Guinness World Record of over 62,000 students.
Smallest: Alpette, Italy which only had one student.
4. China: In Miao, Guizhou Province, China had a 'cave school' called Dongzhong Mid-Cave Primary School. The area could not afford a traditional building so they built a school in a cave.
5. Tibet: Pumajiangtangxiang Primary School holds the Guiness Record for the highest school in the world, at over 5,000 meters (16,400 feet) above sea level.
