Soichiro Honda, founder of Honda Motor Inc. is one special individual whose life embodies silver linings. After a racing accident that injured his left eye and his brother, he quit racing and started to develop parts for Toyota. Eventually, he formed his own company and built Honda into one of the best motor cycle and car companies today! The cloud, being his injury, silver lining, he quit racing to build some of the best race cars/motorcycles the world has ever seen!

The meaning: What you are doing is too risky.
Explanation: In life, sometimes it is good to take risks, but do the risks outweigh the rewards? If not or even so, your actions will be subject to discussion and possibly worry by others. For example, if someone invested all of their money into a tech company without taking into account their current household affairs, betting that their investment would pay off, a friend might say: "Don't put all of your eggs in one basket" meaning don't bet everything you have in one place, because it might not pay off.
