With the new school year comes a fresh set of games in Interactive Class. Some of these activities are very challenging at first, and students are not always confident jumping straight in. When something is confusing, I step in to explain or support them, especially if a word or instruction is unclear. Watching students slowly understand, improve, and then play more confidently is always rewarding, and it’s nice to see how naturally their English use increases over time.

As the days start getting warmer, it’s hard not to notice the change in the classroom atmosphere. The room feels warmer, weather talk comes up more often, and there’s a growing awareness that summer is on the way. Living in Japan, the heat always feels a bit different from back home, especially once the humidity starts building. That heavy, sticky warmth has a way of sneaking into daily life and into the lesson too, reminding me how closely our surroundings shape how we feel and focus.

こどもの英語学習をはじめる前に母国語を身に着ける過程を振り返ってみましょう。
➀聴いて理解する（１～２歳）

この母国語を身に着けるのと同じ家庭で英語を学びませんか？
人間の脳は成長とともに聞きなれない音（外国語）を聴き取る能力が失われていくため、学齢期をになると音声言語の習得がどんどん難しくなります。母国語の習得と同じように音声で言葉を吸収する最適な時期は０歳～２歳。ベビーちゃんはママ・パパと楽しく英会話デビューしよう♬
２歳児クラスからは「保護者と一緒のクラス」or「お子様だけのクラス」がお選びいただけます。
In some classes, it might be a student’s first year with us, while others have been studying here for many years, even though they are in the same level. Some students are still new or fairly new to learning English, which can create a wide difference in confidence. This actually helps new students pick things up faster by listening to classmates and repeating together. It is always exciting to see students who struggled just a week ago now repeating confidently with others, and sometimes even saying full sentences on their own during individual practice.
