As usual, January has two birth flowers. The first is the carnation. This is a popular flower with various meanings depending on the color.  Naturally carnations come in varieties of pink, coral, white and red tones.

A basic carnation has the meaning of fascination, distinction and love. There are many stories attached to carnations that go back over 2000 years. They are tied to ancient greece and rome and also termed as flowers fit for the gods.

Carnations are also edible! You can use them to make tea and treat stomach aches and other health conditions.

The other crystal for January is rose quarts! A light pink stone often talked about in its relation to love. Though rose quarts can be used for all love, self love, familial love, relationships etc.

It is good for resetting the hear, and relieving stress. It also promotes circulation and skin health. It restores trust and harmony in relationships it is a calming and reassuring stone, good for times of grief. Rose quarts dispels negative energy and replaces it with nurturing vibes
