August is coming to end pretty quickly. It's almost September soon!
I am surprised to know that there is also Silver Week in Japan, like Golden Week. Apparently, it does not happen every year and only happens when autumn holiday sequence combines weekend days with Respect for the Aged Day and Autumnal Equinox Day.

Other than Obon August hosts a flurry of celebrations and festivals around the world. One such occasion is the La Tomatina held on August 26th. An event where 20 000 people gather and throw overripe tomatoes at each other. It started in August 1945 when a local parade got rowdy when a fight broke out near a vegetable stall, and people began tossing tomatoes until police stopped. Locals liked it so much they repeated it the year after and every year after that. Some tourists even travel to attend the event.

Obon vacation is coming up and I am excited to be spending time with my friends in Tokyo.
I look forward to attending the Chiikawa event and buying some merchandise!
I hope I get to eat delicious food as well. I want to try ramen in Tokyo to see if it is any different from what I usually have here in Fukuyama.

Summer in the Philippines -- our Tradition!
It's the peak of summer!
In Japan, you usually attend summer festivals and enjoy firework display with family and friends.
I will be sharing what we usually do in the Philippines every summer, which is March to June.
We like going to the beach and eating fruits like watermelon. We also have Holy Week, which is a solemn and widely observed religious event. It is a deeply observed Catholic tradition which has been passed down since the Spanish era.
I personally liked to color my hair a fun color because it is not allowed in school! Fun fact: I did pink, green, purple, and red hair in the past.
