Today, October 16th is Dictionary Day.
Today we celebrate the birth of Noah Webster, an American writer who was born in 1758. Webster is best-known for publishing the first dictionary in 1806, which he continued to compile and expand for the next 27 years. 📕📕

The dictionary is a fantastic resource for new words. For centuries now, it’s been used to define the English language, and given us a common rulebook for communication. Practically any time you flip to a new page in the dictionary, you learn something new! 🆕🆕

A strong vocabulary is essential for effective communication and can help you express your thoughts and ideas more clearly. It can also make you a more persuasive speaker or writer and increase your confidence in social and professional situations. 💪

    大好きなパパ・ママとABCを楽しんでいます♪
    今回は、とても可愛いベビークラスの生徒さんをご紹介させていただきます☆
    アミティーに通い始めて約１年の、近藤　千咲（こんどう　ちさき）ちゃんです。
    ご成長につれて、英語を話す頻度がぐんと増えた千咲ちゃん。
    パパやママと一緒にABCを楽しんでいる様子が伺え、スタッフも他のアミティー生も毎週癒されています♪

    ☆April先生より、メッセージをお預かりしています☆
    Chisaki always comes to class two times a week with a huge smile!
    Although she is only in Baby C, she not only repeats, but she can answer questions!
    For example, if I ask, "What are those?" she will sometimes answer, "Butterflies!" It's amazing.
    Mom practices a lot at home because Chisaki even says phrases like "I did it!"
    She knows some colors, numbers, and she can also sing whole songs.
    In our last class, Chisaki sang the ABCs and "Open, Close Them" all by herself.
    She already knows so much English. Mom and Chisaki are such an impressive duo!

    これからもアミティーで楽しく英語に触れていきましょうね。

    Hello, everyone！
    今回は、姉弟でベビーから通っているアミティー生の、小林　希衣（きい）ちゃんと岳功（がく）くんをご紹介します♪

    ＜希衣ちゃん＞　（担当の内田先生より）
    ベビーの頃からアミティーに通っている、笑顔がとても素敵なきいちゃん。
    レッスンでは毎回元気良く、英会話を楽しんでいます。
    先日は、¨Which one do you like？¨とお母さまに上手に質問ができていました。
    レッスンが進むにつれ１人で読める単語や文章も増え、非常に頼もしく感じています！
    宿題のドリルも頑張って取り組んでいるので、より自信がついた様子が伺えます。
    　
    ★希衣ちゃんに英語で質問をしてみました★
    １：What animals do you like？
    →　I like dogs.
    ２：What is your favorite food？
    →　My favorite food is spaghetti.
    ３：Do you like English？
    →　Yes, I do!!

    You're marvelous!! とても上手に質問に答えることができていました。
    ４月からはプライベートレッスンで、より集中して一緒に学んでいきましょう♪

    ＜岳功くん＞　（担当のAustin先生より）

    Gaku is a wonderful and energetic student.
    He started learning English from the baby tots class and presently, he is in the P1 class.
    Over the period of his lessons, he has demonstrated tremendous improvement in his ability
    to respond and ask basic English conversation questions.
    He can say the alphabet and the corresponding phonics sounds and can equally sing the ABC song conveniently.
    His lessons are fun and interesting. He is always willing to participate in the reinforcement activities.
    His ability to repeat and remember new words learned is extremely encouraging.
    In the lessons, we learn basic conversation dialogues that in corporates parents friendly phrases that helps the parents and students practice the use of English in their private capacity.
    I'm proud to have him as student.
