Muggy Days
One English word that has often come up in conversation this week is "muggy", because the weather has been so humid! Although a cold front is bringing the promise of Autumn, the humidity sometimes reaches 100% in Yonago. On days like that, students seem sleepier. May everyone get some rest as the seasons change!

A Long Weekend For Most
Though there aren't any long holiday breaks in the autumn, it seems that there are plenty of three-day weekends and holidays unique to Japan during the fall season. In addition, students are currently enjoying school festivals and Field Days, enjoying their youth to the fullest! I hope that everyone finds time to relax during all the bustle, because fall is also the perfect season for introspection.

We have had a lot of rainy days recently, haven't we?
It reminds me of home in England.
When I was a child, I used to jump in puddles when it rained.
Now, I like to stay home and read books when it rains.
What do you like to do when it rains?
Do you like to stay home, or do you like to go outside?

Study Season
As the weather cools and the leaves turn into a beautiful spectrum, students feel not just the change in seasons but a change in expectations. School is underway now, and the testing season is coming soon! Good luck to all students taking part in exams in the coming months. We are happy to help anyone who needs an extra study session, too!

Autumn Arrives
September is considered the first month of Autumn, but so far in Yonago the summer heat is unrelenting. The relief of cool weather and fall treats will be very welcome, but for now we are keeping the air-conditioning on. May Autumn be a happy season for students and their families, too!

さて、どういう意味でしょうか。
To have a green thumb means to have a gift for growing plants and keeping them healthy. With that said, I recently bought a plant to add a bit of color into my room and to take care of; while I don’t naturally have a green thumb, I am still set on trying my best to keep my plant alive and well.
