In English, we have a saying 'April showers bring may flowers.' April is often considered the rainy month, and while it might be a drag to be indoors waiting for the rain to pass, it means that the flowers will be healthy and ready to bloom in May. Of course it refers to the actual blooming of flowers, but also can be seen as a metaphor for having a period of patience and waiting can lead to fruitful and prosperous results. We hope you will all continue to bloom.

Have you heard of the English proverb 'The early bird gets the worm?' It means those who start something early are able to get results more quickly. Although literally waking up early can be difficult for many people, if you want to try something, you should start as soon as you can. While others are sleeping, you can get opportunities that they won't. With the new school year beginning just a few weeks, this is the perfect opportunity to start a new English journey with us at Amity!

Today, March 14th is White Day in Japan! This is a holiday celebrated in response to Valentine's Day. In the U.S., we don't have White Day, so I was surprised to hear about this tradition in Japan. If you received chocolate during Valentine's Day, do you have any plans to return the favor today?

Did you know that March 20th is the International Day of Happiness? Especially with graduation season, cherry blossom season and a time of goodbyes, this is probably a time that you will look back and think of all the happy memories you have made. We have an expression 'Don't be sad that it's over. Be happy that it happened.' I hope you made a lot of happy memories this past year, and know that many more will come in the future as well!

In contrast to the United States, in which March is considered early in the year, March is graduation season in Japan. In line with the ending of school years, the cherry blossoms start to bloom and welcome everyone into the new school year in April. For foreigners, who rarely get to experience the magic of these beautiful pink flowers, it's exciting for us to take pictures and experience the wonder of spring. ・パパ、ママが早くから英語学習をさせたかった1才のベビーちゃん
英語は早くから！と考えていたパパ、ママさん。自分たちはあまりできないから、この子には！とおっしゃっていましたが、意外とこの理由の方はたくさんいらっしゃいます。むしろ多数派。やはりベビー年代は、無理なく音声が入っているので、スタートにはおすすめの年代です。まだお話はできなくても、英語で話しかけると、行動してくれるので「わかってる！」となる瞬間は楽しいですよ♪

・新小学1年生のタイミングで英語学習スタート！
「小1になるタイミングで、英語を始めさせたい！」とお考えだったご両親が、アミティーの前を通り、お問い合わせくださいました。体験レッスン後、学習した英単語をご自宅でも発話されていたご様子で、レッスンでも初月にしてお友達とたーくさんの英語を発話してくれています。小学3年生からは、学校でも外国語として英語に触れるようになります。わかる！からスタートしたいですよね。
