*April is known for beautiful spring weather, the start of warmer weather, and right about the time when the Easter bunny will make an appearance!* As we start this new semester, let us find out some fun facts about this month of April. (4 月は美しい春の天気、暖かい気候の始まりで知られ、ちょうどイースターバニーが登場する時期です! * 新学期が始まるにあたり、この 4 月に関する楽しい事実をいくつか見つけてみましょう。)

1.April also only had 29 days, but a 30th day was added when Julius Caesar established the Julian calendar.
4月も29日しかありませんでしたが、ジュリアス・シーザーがユリウス暦を制定したときに30日が追加されました。

2.April is a great month for meteor showers. One of which is the Lyrids meteor shower, which appears from April 16th to April 26th each year. There’s another one called the Eta Aquariids meteor shower that can be seen onwards from April 21st.

As you can see, there’s more to April than just April Fool’s Day, although that is definitely one of the most fun days of the month!
And, of course, as we all know, “April showers bring May flowers,” so if the rain of April ever gets you down, never forget the silver lining!

This week, we discussed about rules that everybody has to follow in their respective houses. By the end of the lesson, students are able to ask "What are the rules?" and answer "Please keep the bathroom door open when no one is using it." How about you? What rules do you have to follow in your house?



 

This week our students learn the name of some animals and their babies such as hen-chick, cat-kitten, duck-duckling, frog-tadpole, rabbit- bunny. By the end of the lesson, our students are able to ask "Can you see the bunnies over there?"and answer "Yes, I can." / "No, I can't." .

This week, in our preschool lessons we learned aout the QU sound. Our students are able to say the words that start with the QU sound such as QUESTION, QUEST, QUIT and QUIET.
