🎠 Junior High Lesson 🎠
Our P6 students learned all about jobs and dreams this week. The question posed for them was "What do you want to be when you grow up?"
The vocabulary for this week involves childhood dreams like being a superhero or becoming a princess. It also includes real-life jobs such as becoming a civil servant or a fitness coach. This lesson teaches students to differenciate between the past and the present using ambitions.
🏫 Lesson of the Week - P4 🏫
Our p4 students learned all about birthdays and people's age. Using birthday cakes and babies as visuals, we taught our students how to ask someone "How old are you?", and how to answer that question with: "I am (number) years old." Our students had a lot of fun with the guessing games we did during the lesson.
This week, our P2 students are learning 5 different colors that match the vocabulary we learned last week. This week`s colors are red, orange, green, blue, and purple. The students are asking the question, "What color is the marker?" and answer with, "It`s blue!".
They are also working on the letter "E" during phonics and are learning words such as "engine".
Overall, our students are off to a strong start and we look forward to progressing their lessons for this unit next week!
🏫 Junior High Lesson (P6) 🏫
To kick off the new term, our Junior High (P6) students learned about different countries and nationalities. Starting with Japan, the lesson contained the English names of countries from different parts of the world and what people from those places are called. From Canada to South Africa, our lesson is not only a fun introduction to various new vocabularies, it also teaches our students how to introduce themselves to different people from around the world.
