What do you do in your free time?
What is free time? It is the "spare" time you have outside of school, work, studying and chores.
It is common to speak about what you like to do in your free time with close friends and family members.
That's why in P7 this week we are learning different and interesting things people like to do in their free time.
For example, "go sightseeing" "make chocolates" or "browse a secondhand bookstore".
This kind of conversation is always the most interesting because people like to hear what you enjoy doing in your free time. It is what makes you a unique individual.
What are you Thankful for?
In America the month of November is considered to be the month of "thankfulness". On the fourth Thursday of every November we have a holiday called Thanksgiving.
It's a time when we get together with our families and have a huge feast and discuss with one another what we are thankful for.
But some people take the time to find and say something they are thankful for every single day of November.
What are you thankful for?

Why should we learn foreign languages?
This week, for our Interactive TedTalk challenge, we are studying John McWhorter’s “4 reasons to learn a new language”! First, students sharpen their listening skills by answering a worksheet that requires them to arrange jumbled phrases and sentences directly taken from the speech. Next, they will read a paragraph or two, to practice their pronunciation and diction. After that, they will answer comprehension questions, allowing them to activate their higher-level thinking skills. And lastly, for vocabulary building, students will highlight 5 different unfamiliar words and look for its Japanese translation, part of speech, and then construct a sentence using the word.
