In our P1 and P2 classes this week the letter we are working on is the letter C! The sound we are focusing on learning is the hard C sound like in the word "Cookie". Let's see what words we are learning!

In our P7 classes this unit, we are learning how to talk about movies! We are learning how to talk about what part of the movie we like (Beginning/Middle/End) as well as why/what the reason in (There was a car chase/He snuck into the base/etc). Learning to talk about casual things, like movies, is very important to casual English speaking, it is something that allows you to not only talk to people about what you like, but learn about others as well.

At home, think about the movies you like, whether it be a specific movie or a genre of movies. Be ready to share in class about what aspects of movies you like. It can be scary to express your own opinions and thoughts in English, but try your best, we are all learning together, do not be afraid to make mistakes!

このユニットのP7のクラスでは、映画についての話し方を学んでいます！映画のどの部分が好きか（初めの部分／真ん中の部分／終わりの部分）や、なぜ／どんな理由（カーチェイスがあった／彼が基地に忍び込んだ／など）について話す方法を学んでいます。映画のようなカジュアルなものについて話すことを学ぶことは、カジュアルな英会話にとってとても重要です。

家で、特定の映画やジャンルの映画など、自分の好きな映画について考えてみましょう。クラスでは、映画のどんなところが好きなのか、共有できるようにしておきましょう。自分の意見や考えを英語で表現するのは怖いかもしれませんが、頑張ってください！

In our P5 classes this week we are working on uncountable and countable nouns. A noun is any word that is a person, place or thing, and in this lesson we are talking about toppings on food, toppings are things!

Countable nouns are things you can easily count, like pickles, socks, your eyes, or apples. The key word is easily, things things are easy to count. For countable nouns we use the phrase "How many ..." because we can easily identify the number (Like four apples or ten socks).

Uncountable nouns are things you can NOT easily count or are impossible to count without the addition of a counter word (like cups or pieces), like water, sauce, hairs on your head, or grass. For uncountable nouns we use the phrase "How much ..." because we cannot identify the number, so we must use words like a little or a lot.

今週のP5クラスでは、不可算名詞と可算名詞について学びます。名詞とは、人、場所、物を表す言葉で、このレッスンでは食べ物のトッピングについて話しています！

可算名詞は、ピクルス、靴下、目、リンゴなど、簡単に数えられるものです。キーワードは 「easy」（簡単に）です。数えられる名詞には、「How many ...」 というフレーズを使います。なぜなら、私たちは簡単に数を特定できるからです（4つのリンゴや10の靴下のように）。

数えられない名詞は、水、ソース、頭髪、草のように、簡単に数えられないか、対になる言葉を加えなければ数えられないものです(カップや個のように）。数えられない名詞については、数を特定できないため、a littleやa lotのような単語を使わなければならないので、「How much ... 」というフレーズを使います。

In our P4 classes this week we are learning how to talk about things we are good at and things we are bad at. Everybody has things that are easy for them (Good at) and things that are not easy for them (Bad at).

For example:
Your teachers are good at speaking English.

Think of things at home that you are good at and bad at and practice saying them out loud!

今週のP4クラスでは、得意なことや苦手なことについて話す方法を学びます。誰にでも得意(Good at)なことと不得意(Bad at)なことがあります。

Listen to the teacher! Do uncountable things have an "S"?

This week in our P4 classes, we are on lesson 4 of unit 3, that means we are reviewing everything we have learned in the unit so far. Reviewing and studying the phonics you learn in your lessons is very important to being able to learn how to read English sentences properly, so lets go over what we learned this unit.

-nk: rink, pink, trunk
-ng: wing, sing, bring
-nd: pond, stand
-nt: bent, front

These are the words we learned in this unit, but we also thought of many words on our own in class. At home think of all the other words you know that have these letters and make the sounds we practiced in class, have them ready to share with everyone during the phonics portion of our lessons!

今週のP4クラスはユニット3のレッスン4です。レッスンで学んだフォニックスを復習することは、英語の文章を正しく読めるようになるためにとても大切です。

In our P5 classes this week we are learning how to ask if people would like to put on or take off certain clothing items. In our previous two lessons we learned about turning on and turning off (kitchen appliances), plugging in and unplugging (electronics), and now we are working on a new set of on and off statements used for clothing and accessories.

Now that it is winter, we have to put on many layers when going outside, that means we also have to take off many layers of clothing when coming inside. We have to wear things like coats, scarves and gloves.

To practice at home think about what you need to put on and what you need to take off when going out or coming in.

今週のP5クラスでは、特定の衣類を着たり脱いだりしたいかどうかを尋ねる方法を学びます。前の2つのレッスンでは、電源の入れ方と切り方（キッチン用品）、プラグの差し方と抜き方（電化製品）について学びましたが、今回は衣服やアクセサリーの電源の入れ方と切り方について学びます。

冬になり、外に出るときは何枚も重ね着をしなければならなくなった。コートやマフラー、手袋などを身につけなければならない。

家で練習するために、外出時や帰宅時に何を着て何を脱ぐべきか考えてみよう。

In our P4 classes this week we are learning more about clothing and clothing patterns. It has been a while since we have been in English class, so be sure to do some review before you have class this week.

In addition to the patterns we learned last time (striped, checkered, plaid, solid, polka dot, and floral) we are learning some new clothing items. This week we are learning shorts, overalls, mittens, sunglasses, tights, and tennis shoes. We will be using these words alongside the patterns we learned last time!

Think about the things you often wear. Do you often wear any of the clothing items we have learned about? What are you wearing now? What are the patterns? Try practicing describing what you are currently wearing and tell you teacher when you come to class this week!

今週のP4クラスでは、洋服と洋服のパターンについて学びます。英語の授業は久しぶりなので、今週の授業の前に復習をしておいてください。

前回学習したパターン（ストライプ、チェック、チェック柄、無地、水玉、花柄）に加え、新しい洋服も学習します。今週は、ショートパンツ、オーバーオール、ミトン、サングラス、タイツ、テニスシューズを学びます。これらの単語は、前回学んだパターンと一緒に使います！

よく着るものについて考えてみましょう。今まで習った服の中で、よく着るものはありますか？今、何を着ていますか？そのパターンは何ですか？今着ているものを説明する練習をして、今週のクラスに来たら先生に伝えてください！
