日本語と同じ「ことばの基礎」が作られる前です。
赤ちゃんはお母様のお腹の中にいるときからことばを聞いています。
もちろん生まれたばかりの0才のお子様がことばを聞いてすぐに発話するわけではありません。しかし、この「ことばの基礎」を日本語と一緒に英語でも作ることにより、日本語に近い形で英語を身に付けることが出来ます。
大きくなって「日本語ができない」なんて言うお子さまがいないのと同じで、英語も日本語と同じように触れさせてあげることがとても大切なのです。

冬休み、元気に過ごされていますか？
オンデマンド動画を見たり、CD、お歌など家庭での学習方法は無限大です。
たくさん聞いて英語に触れる時間をぜひ増やしていきましょう。
耳は、たくさんの英語を聞くことによって慣れますし聞き取る力も伸びてきます。
映画を英語で見てみると、日常会話ではこんな表現があるんだ！という発見もありますよ！

In our P4 lessons this unit, our warm up activity is focused on locating different parts of the body. We use the words mouth, head, stomach, ankle, elbow, and throat.

Pattern:
- Where is your mouth?
- Here.

Seeing as we only talk about six different body parts for this warm up, think of how many body parts you know in English. Impress your teacher by being able to name extra parts of the body next time you come in for a lesson or try competing with classmates to see who knows more!

この単元のP4のレッスンでは、ウォームアップのアクティビティで、体のさまざまな部位の位置を確認することに重点を置いています。口、頭、お腹、足首、肘、喉という言葉を使います。

パターン

このウォーミングアップでは、6つの異なる体の部位についてしか話しません。次回のレッスンでは、さらに多くの体の部位の名前を言えるようになって、先生を感心させましょう！

This winter we are offering a number of fun and interesting seminars to keep your students engaged over the winter holidays! These classes differ from the normal lessons we teach, they are one on one and are tailored to be sure to meet each students individual needs based on the theme of the seminar.

For our younger students we have two seminar options!

1. Christmas cookie seminar with Bailey Sensei!
- Learn about colors, shapes, and the fun Western Christmas tradition of making cookies!
- Make your own cookies out of craft materials.

2. How the Grinch Lost Christmas with Morgan Sensei!
- Learn various vocabulary from the storybook How the Grinch Lost Christmas to get a jump start on reading ability and comprehenstion!
- Color and glue together your own Grinch picture.

For our older students we also have two seminar options!

1. Amity Crossing with Bailey Sensei!
- Learn about different things you can find at home to design your own room! Learn how to express wants as well as the language to describe where things should go.

2. Winter Comics with Morgan Sensei!
- Practice writing, order of adjectives, and sentence sequencing while making your own original comic! Practice creating your own original thoughts and ideas and bring them to life.

We are also offering Interactive seminars and Programming seminars. Interactive seminars aim to help students develop their computer skills and listening skills while also practicing writing with worksheets that go along with the programs. Programming seminars aim to help students dive into the world of programming while also practicing reading comprehension to be able to follow the directions on screen.

この冬は、冬休み中も生徒の皆さんが飽きることなく楽しく学べるセミナーを多数ご用意しています！これらのクラスは通常のレッスンとは異なり、マンツーマンで、セミナーのテーマに沿って生徒さん一人ひとりのニーズにお応えします。

低学年の生徒さんには、2つのセミナーオプションをご用意しています！

1. ベイリー先生によるクリスマスクッキーセミナー！
- 色や形、西洋のクリスマスの伝統であるクッキー作りについて学びます！
- クラフト材料を使って、自分だけのクッキーを作りましょう。

2. モーガン先生と一緒に「How the Grinch Lost Christmas」！
- 絵本「How the Grinch Lost Christmas」から様々な語彙を学び、読解力と理解力を高めます！
- 自分だけのグリンチの絵に色を塗ったり、糊で貼ったりします。

高学年向けには、2つのセミナーオプションもある！

1. ベイリー先生のアミティ・クロッシング！
- 自分の部屋をデザインするために、家にある様々なものについて学びます！欲しいものを表現する方法と、どこに何があるべきかを説明する言葉を学びます。

2. モーガン先生と冬コミ
- 自分だけのオリジナル漫画を作りながら、文章の書き方、形容詞の順番、文章の順序などを練習します！自分の考えやアイディアに命を吹き込む練習をしましょう。

また、インタラクティブセミナーやプログラミングセミナーも開講しています。インタラクティブセミナーでは、パソコンスキルやリスニング力を養いながら、プログラムに沿ったワークシートで文章を書く練習をします。プログラミングセミナーでは、プログラミングの世界に飛び込みながら、画面の指示に従える読解力を養います。
