Hello everyone!
We just want to remind you that we do not have our regualar classes from July 28 until August 3.
This is when we have Summer Seminars and make- up classes.
Please use this time to let our students watch past lesson videos and do their homework and finish more
pages from their drill books.
If you are interested in taking extra lessons during this week, we still have few slots left. Kindly let us
know when you are available.
We will resume our regular classes on August 4th.

Useful Phrases this Summer!
Can you feel the heat? It's getting hotter and hotter each day.
Let me list down some useful phrases you can tell your friends this summer.
1. Stay hydrated!
This means don't forget to drink your water!
EXAMPLE: Don't forget to stay hydrated when you leave the house during summer days.
2. Soak up the sun!
To spend more time in the sun. We all need to enjoy the heat of the summer while it is here
but don't forget to stay hydrated. :)
EXAMPLE: The weather is so nice, let's go swimming and soak up the sun!
3. Beat the heat!
To make yourself cooler or go to a place to stay cool.
EXAMPLE: Let's beat the heat by eating ice cream and drinking smoothies.

Summer Fun Games!
It is extremely hot outside and students are starting to have their summer vacation.
What's keeping you busy?
Here are some games you can play while learning English!
1. Alphabet Race!
Put home-made alphabet cards around. You can make as many sets as you can. The first person to complete collecting all the letters in the alphabet wins! This game is great with 2 or more players.
2. Think Quick!
Lay down any amount of money (bills) on the table. Make sure it is laid down in 2 straight lines. Highest amount of money should be placed at the end. Ask any random English questions like, "What is the capital of Japan?" or "Give me a fruit that starts with B!" First person to answer gets the money! This game should be played by 2 people.
3. Guess that Word.
Pictures of words should be printed out. Try to find a card to hide the printed pictures. Only show some parts of the picture. Make them guess the name of the picture in English. You can use words from their Amity Textbooks!

I am sure you are all out with your family or simply enjoying a relaxed day at home.
Marine Day in Japan is celebrated every 3rd Monday of July.
This holiday is to remember the importance of the marine life and to give thanks to all the blessings the ocean is giving us. It is often a great 3-day holiday for families to go to the beach and hang out.
Make sure to put on some sunblock and keep hydrated!
