In our P1 lessons this unit, we have been learning about a lot of different colors and a lot of different animals! In lesson 4, we will be covering all ten colors we learned and all ten animals we learned! Let's review!

P1のこの単元では、たくさんの色とたくさんの動物について学んできました！第4課では、学んだ10色すべてと10種類の動物すべてを復習します！さあ、復習しましょう！

Colors 色:

Blue 🟦, white ⬜, brown 🟫, yellow 🟨, pink 🩷, purple 💜, green 💚, red 🟥, black 🖤, and orange 🟧.

Animals 動物:

Fish 🐟, rabbit 🐰, horse 🐎, dog 🐕, pig 🐷, mouse 🐭, frog 🐸, snake 🐍, sheep 🐑, and cat 🐈.

他言語は、ある程度の時期に学習を始めていれば言語においての苦手はあまり生じにくいはずなんです。ただ、学習を始める時期がずれてくると≪苦手≫と感じやすくなってしまうのは確かです
脳や体が日々成長をしてる子供たちは、それぞれの機能が失われる時期やピークがあります。
例えばピアノは耳がいい早いうちにと言いますが、英語も9歳を超えてくるとサイレントの音(th、f、h、t等)が聞きとりにくくなります。これくらいの時期に言葉の臨界期となるため「早い段階から耳を育てましょう」と言われるのはそれが理由となります。
脳は3歳までに80％、6歳までに90％、12歳までに100％出来上がると文部科学省幼児教育課から発表もあります。
脳の成長期に日本語だけでなく、英語にも触れられるって、素晴らしいですよね✨

In our JA lessons this week we worked on expressing our preference for different events using the word, 'better.' We use the word, 'better,' often in English to express that we like something more than we like another thing. When talking about things we like, better and more are interchangeable.

Example: I like cake more than cookies. I like cake better than cookies.

HOWEVER, this is the only instance better and more can be used this way. You cannot swap them in any other instance.

Example:

One more time, please. ⭕

One better time, please. ❌

You better do that.  (You should do that)⭕

You more do that. ❌

今週のJA授業では、「better」という単語を使って様々な出来事に対する好みを表す練習をしました。英語では「better」という単語を頻繁に使い、あるものを別のものより好むことを表現します。好きなものについて話す場合、「better」と「more」は互換性があります。

例：I like cake more than cookies. I like cake better than cookies.

ただし、この場合のみ「better」と「more」をこのように使い分けることができます。他の状況では置き換えられません。

例：

One more time, please. ⭕

One better time, please. ❌

You better do that.  (You should do that)⭕

You more do that. ❌

In Unit 1 Lesson 2 in our P4 classes we learned how to talk about the weather. We covered a few types of weather we may already know, like hot, cold, and stormy, but we also learned a few that may be totally new to us, like foggy, snowy, and windy.

Examples:

• How is the weather today? It is foggy.


• Is it snowy today? Yes, it is./No, it is not.

P4クラスのユニット1レッスン2では、天気について話す方法を学びました。暑い、寒い、嵐など既にご存知かもしれない天気の種類をいくつか取り上げましたが、霧、雪、風など全く初めてかもしれない天気もいくつか学びました。

例：

• 今日の天気はどうですか？ 霧がかっています。


• 今日は雪が降っていますか？ はい、降っています。／いいえ、降っていません。

In our P3 classes for Unit 1 Lesson 2, we are continuing to focus on learning body parts. This time we are learning body parts in their multiples: fingers, hands, knees, feet and legs. We are continuing with the theme of explaining what hurts on our bodies.

Last week:

• What's the matter? My elbow hurts.

This week:

• I hurt my hands. Oh, no!

P3クラスのユニット1レッスン2では、体の部位の学習を継続しています。今回は指、手、膝、足、脚といった体の部位の複数形を学びます。体のどこが痛いのかを説明するテーマも続けています。
