In our P5 classes this unit for lessons 1 and 2 we are focusing on learning about silent letters. In lesson 1 we learned about silent w, and in lesson 2 we are learning about silent b and silent k.

In English we often have letters that we do not pronounce, or sound different than what you may expect.

Silent W words - two, wrist, wrap
Silent B words - comb, lamb
Silent K words - knee, knob

There are many more words that have silent letters, think of more examples at home to share with the class!

P5のレッスン1と2では、サイレントレターについて学びました。英語には、発音しない文字や、思っているのと違う発音をする文字がよくあります。

In our P4 classes this week we are working on expressing where we want do go. As well as describing the direction the place is in.

To practice this at home, try thinking of places you like going and make your own sentences!

Example:
- Let's to to the restaurant!🍴

今週の P4 クラスでは、行きたい場所を表現する練習をしています。また、その場所の方向を説明する練習もしています。
